I have always been a dreamer. When I read books or watch movies, I always conjure up alternate endings or what would have happened if…. This personality trait has left me with a desire of constant improvement….of never being ‘quite’ satisfied.
Another trait that I have is that I like to please others. This is both a blessing and a curse. For a long time, this meant that I depreciated my own needs and desires to those of others. Anything it takes to get the job done.
Having children however has forced me to change my perspective. I no longer have the desire to work myself around the clock in an effort to gain approval. Instead I focus on three things: #1 – Competency #2 – Relationships #3 – Growth.
I currently work full-time in public service as a fiscal analyst. However I find that with my background and varied experience, I end up helping others in terms of their small business endeavors. So in November 2021, I launched Green Beacon Business Services. I was able to complete 3 major certifications for digital bookkeeping and I am currently studying for the Special Enrollment Exam to become an Enrolled Agent (which is the highest designation given by the US Department of Treasury/IRS to tax professionals)
